
The linear electron-beam accelerator is the system most important component and is vertically positioned. This is where the electrons are generated, converged toward a radiation beam and accelerated. One of the advantages of this system is that no moving parts are used in the linear accelerator, therefore minimizing the maintenance requirements.
Acelétron uses a combination of two linear accelerators 18 kW each, so that one scans the electron-beam from top to bottom while the other does the same from bottom to top, enabling better absorption of the dose applied to the product.
